Dear colleagues, friends and supporters,
on Sunday 6 July 2025, we, Miriam, Rainer and Coni, will be competing as Team BioMiRaCoLix in Europe's biggest triathlon event, Challenge Roth.
But our goal is more than just crossing the finish line - we want to do good
with every kilometre we swim, cycle and run and collect donations for well:fair.
Worldwide, 771 million people have no clean drinking water. In addition, one in four people in the world has no access to a toilet. Diarrhoeal diseases caused by contaminated drinking water, lack of latrines and poor hygiene are among the most common causes of death in children under the age of five.
The well:fair foundation combats this serious problem: the foundation supports the construction of wells and sanitary facilities for schools and communities in Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania. Access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene - WASH for short - is the basis for children attending school regularly. Education gives children the chance to lead a self-determined life in the long term - creating real prospects for the future.
This is how you can help:
- Donate per kilometre: Support us with an amount per kilometre that we cover by swimming, cycling or running.
- One-off donation: Any amount, no matter how large or small, brings us closer to our donation target.
- Spread the word: Tell others about our campaign and motivate them to take part!
The foundation uses 100 per cent of your donation directly for local projects. Foundation founder Neven Subotic and other partners finance all administrative costs privately.
